There was time, not so long ago, when
there was no internet, no CD players, and no television. Only
Vintage Radio.
There were books, newspapers, movies; and there was
Radio. Radio at that time was not radio as we know it today.
Radio today is mostly in the background, playing music,
announcing time and weather, and occasionally providing a
newscast. Radio between 1925 and 1955 was completely
different.
Antique radios. "I remember that
one" doesn't that make you feel old? I love antiques and
Vintage radios.
The nostalgia, the memories each one evokes, But
then, isn't that why vintage items are so collectable? We all
love the nostalgia that these items bring. The special feelings
and memories we get. Memories that perhaps make you feel young
again. Even if for a fleeting moment.
One of the most common images people have of the
past is of a family sitting around a radio, listening
intently to news or entertainment
broadcasts.

But how do you start collecting antique radios?
Where do you find parts?
Obviously if you're looking for parts an auction
site such as eBay might be your first choice, but anyone who
has used this online auction site can tell you that unless you
know specifically what to look for it’s easy to get
lost.
